Dar Al Ber Society has announced the implementation of a comprehensive humanitarian project under the name "Zayed Village," a model village covering a total area of 35,255 square meters, with a total cost amounting to AED 4,396,583.

According to Dar Al Ber, 50 poor families will benefit from this vital humanitarian project, which also provides essential public services to several surrounding villages through the village’s school and medical clinic. This village represents one of the sustainable developmental projects of the Society for the current year 2024.

Dr. Mohammed Suhail Al Muhairi, CEO and Managing Director of Dar Al Ber Society, confirmed the completion of this sustainable Emirati charitable development village in the African country, with a 100% achievement rate. The project began early last year (2023) and the construction was completed by mid-August of the current year.

The village comprises 50 homes, each allocated to poor and needy families, with an area of 69 square meters per home. Each home includes two rooms and a living area. The village also contains a fully equipped school with six modern classrooms, each covering 63 square meters, alongside toilets and administrative offices, each occupying 100 square meters. Additionally, there is a fully equipped medical clinic covering 150 square meters, a mosque with an area of 150 square meters, including three toilets, as well as,10 commercial shops. These shops act as charitable endowments, scattered across different parts of the village, aimed at generating income to support the village’s needs and provide basic services for its residents while enhancing the village’s infrastructure.

Dr. Al Muhairi explained that the project includes also the construction of two artesian wells, powered by solar energy, along with the extension of a water network to supply drinking water and other household and civil uses. The project also includes the construction of an earth sports pitch covering 500 square meters. He noted that cement bricks were used in the village's construction, with "zinc" for the roofing, accompanied by suspended ceilings.
The CEO of Dar Al Ber emphasized the importance of such comprehensive humanitarian projects, which serve the underprivileged and low-income segments within the new charitable village and surrounding areas. He stressed the added value of these projects in supporting impoverished communities over the long term, contributing to the enhancement of human capacity, improving the quality of life, and creating a lasting positive impact on poor communities.
This reflects the Society's commitment to humanitarian work and embodies its vision of achieving comprehensive and sustainable development, building more prosperous communities.

Dr. Mohammed Al Muhairi expressed his sincere gratitude to all contributors, stating: "With your generous support, we have successfully completed this project, providing essential services, including education, healthcare, and employment opportunities, to 50 impoverished families in Niger. Your dedication and support embody the spirit of giving and have significantly improved the quality of life for many people.
