Biography

Dar Al Ber is Considered one of the first charities in the UAE. It was established in Dubai in 1399 Hijri, 1979 AD as per the ministerial decree No. (23/78) issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs as a charity, cultural & social firm. Dar Al Ber Board of Directors has been formed according to the directives and decisions of His Highness, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai - may Allah protect him.

Board of Directors

Dar Al Ber Board of Directors’ members work fully voluntarily & free of charge for the service of its charitable & humanitarian objectives. It comprises of the following:

International and Local awards

Dar Al Berhas won numerous awards at both the local and the international levels, for example:

  • Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Award for excellence in Dubai charities category.
  • Sheikh Fahad Al-Ahmad International Award in Kuwait in 2010 for charitable work,as the first Emirati Association wins the prize among 40 participants of various Islamic organizations on both the Arab and global levels.
  • The most transparent charity in the Arab world in 2011, according to the rating by Forbes Middle East magazine.
  • Order of Merit from Sharjah Prize for the volunteer work in 2014 for the category of the institutions in the veteran &volunteer fields, at its eleventh locally, seventh as Arabic &the first as Islamic.
  • Sharjah Prize for the Voluntary Work Award in 2011,In 2014 & 2015, the award has been won by Dar Al Ber Committee of the Chaste families in Umm Al Quwain.
